Recently went here on a Saturday night as new to the area...after seeing some of the other bars around, was not expecting much other than some beer and pork scratchings...my was I proven wrong!
Delicious cocktails (I am a man but I do love mojitos!), tasty, fully loaded burgers and some wicked dj's spinning!
Looks like I've found my local NW6 haunt! Highly recommend to locals and peole further afield...definitely worth the travel.
The Westbury used to be a hidden gem in Kilburn - we discovered it 2 years ago so have seen it transform...but only slightly. It started to get really well known at the start of this year and my friends and I were worried that it would lose its charm. Thankfully it hasn't too much - it still has amazing music nights with the likes of The Nextmen DJing regularly. Although lately, they haven't hosted as many amazing DJs as they used to (like Format, Yoda, Scratch Perverts etc.) If I had to change one thing about the Westbury, it would be to make the dance floor a bit bigger as it does get really rammed sometimes.
One thing everyone needs to try here though - a Sunday roast. It is delicious and they are very generous with the portions. The staff at the Westbury are lovely too and they all know how to make good cocktails. If you like your hip hop, soul and funk coupled with tasty food and yummy cocktails - this is definitely a good place to visit.
Smashing time at the Westbury on the weekend! Had a small reunion with mates who work round the corner, we booked a booth which proved handy as it got quite busy later in the evening. A big plus point was Disco & Mercy who were amazing!! Hopefully they will do more gigs at the Westbury on a regular basis. Table service is another thing that works in Westburys favour, and since there's no minimum spend required on Friday, it is the place to go. Next time, will sample their burgers. Good times.
Was at The Westbury for my birthday a few weeks ago. We hired a booth which was great, it felt really exclusive and was a fab way to celebrate - my friends had organised it as a suprise! Our waitress was really sweet and kept us plied with cocktails all night long!
Thanks Westbury - the music was fun and I had an amazing birthday xx
had a great night at the westbury last week, the djs were absolutely brilliant, place looked great, pretty sure they've changed some of the layout in the venue too since last time i visited. if you're in this part of london i really dont think theres better place to be on a night out.
I highly recommend this place!
The Nextmen were fantastic at the Westbury. Been to this bar a few times now and always had a good night. So impressed I have booked the Priory Room for a private party in a few months so looking forward to that!
In terms of the bar itself, the atmosphere etc. is really great and had a really enjoyable night on Saturday celebrating my birthday. The only down side was that the booth area we hired had a minimum spend on it which is fine, but the only way to order drinks was through one person who kept having to go backawrds and fowards with our drinks orders. As more people started arriving and people were standing up etc. it became difficult to order drinks as you had to wait for the one server so people couldn't just go up to the bar and grab their own drinks. I would suggest it is easier to have a number / tab at the bar so when your guests order drinks they say it is under that table rather than having drinks coming to the table that no one knew who ordered them.
Once we had reached the minimum spend the rest of the night was really good and I would have given in 4 stars if it weren't for the drinks situation.
Went there for the second time last friday night. 19/02.
Had an excellent time there. Superb tunes supplied by the Freestylers... Only £5, but if you email the bar before hand they are happy to supply you with a guest entrance which will give you a concession on the door, this will all be done in real - time. i.e. i applied at 3pm and by 3.15 i had my reply.... now that's what i call quick.
Drinks are more pub prices than club prices, tall interior, so even though inside was busy, there was no sweat dripping off the walls and ceilings.
No attitude, No problems with having to be ultra-smart dress, Cheap Entrance, Cheap Drinks, and Good Music. What else does one want..
