Recently went here on a Saturday night as new to the area...after seeing some of the other bars around, was not expecting much other than some beer and pork scratchings...my was I proven wrong!
Delicious cocktails (I am a man but I do love mojitos!), tasty, fully loaded burgers and some wicked dj's spinning!
Looks like I've found my local NW6 haunt! Highly recommend to locals and peole further afield...definitely worth the travel.
The Westbury used to be a hidden gem in Kilburn - we discovered it 2 years ago so have seen it transform...but only slightly. It started to get really well known at the start of this year and my friends and I were worried that it would lose its charm. Thankfully it hasn't too much - it still has amazing music nights with the likes of The Nextmen DJing regularly. Although lately, they haven't hosted as many amazing DJs as they used to (like Format, Yoda, Scratch Perverts etc.) If I had to change one thing about the Westbury, it would be to make the dance floor a bit bigger as it does get really rammed sometimes.
One thing everyone needs to try here though - a Sunday roast. It is delicious and they are very generous with the portions. The staff at the Westbury are lovely too and they all know how to make good cocktails. If you like your hip hop, soul and funk coupled with tasty food and yummy cocktails - this is definitely a good place to visit.
Smashing time at the Westbury on the weekend! Had a small reunion with mates who work round the corner, we booked a booth which proved handy as it got quite busy later in the evening. A big plus point was Disco & Mercy who were amazing!! Hopefully they will do more gigs at the Westbury on a regular basis. Table service is another thing that works in Westburys favour, and since there's no minimum spend required on Friday, it is the place to go. Next time, will sample their burgers. Good times.
Was at The Westbury for my birthday a few weeks ago. We hired a booth which was great, it felt really exclusive and was a fab way to celebrate - my friends had organised it as a suprise! Our waitress was really sweet and kept us plied with cocktails all night long!
Thanks Westbury - the music was fun and I had an amazing birthday xx
had a great night at the westbury last week, the djs were absolutely brilliant, place looked great, pretty sure they've changed some of the layout in the venue too since last time i visited. if you're in this part of london i really dont think theres better place to be on a night out.
I highly recommend this place!
The Nextmen were fantastic at the Westbury. Been to this bar a few times now and always had a good night. So impressed I have booked the Priory Room for a private party in a few months so looking forward to that!
In terms of the bar itself, the atmosphere etc. is really great and had a really enjoyable night on Saturday celebrating my birthday. The only down side was that the booth area we hired had a minimum spend on it which is fine, but the only way to order drinks was through one person who kept having to go backawrds and fowards with our drinks orders. As more people started arriving and people were standing up etc. it became difficult to order drinks as you had to wait for the one server so people couldn't just go up to the bar and grab their own drinks. I would suggest it is easier to have a number / tab at the bar so when your guests order drinks they say it is under that table rather than having drinks coming to the table that no one knew who ordered them.
Once we had reached the minimum spend the rest of the night was really good and I would have given in 4 stars if it weren't for the drinks situation.
Went there for the second time last friday night. 19/02.
Had an excellent time there. Superb tunes supplied by the Freestylers... Only £5, but if you email the bar before hand they are happy to supply you with a guest entrance which will give you a concession on the door, this will all be done in real - time. i.e. i applied at 3pm and by 3.15 i had my reply.... now that's what i call quick.
Drinks are more pub prices than club prices, tall interior, so even though inside was busy, there was no sweat dripping off the walls and ceilings.
No attitude, No problems with having to be ultra-smart dress, Cheap Entrance, Cheap Drinks, and Good Music. What else does one want..
Went there today on the basis that my friend said; whilst in that part of London, I have to visit the Westbury. And to my great pleasure, she was right! The decor was amazing, comfy leather sofas galore and cool blues music playing in the background.........this isint very Kilburn!! Whilst we were there we thought we'd have a nibble at something and their burger deal was just too good to miss. I had the Jerk burger which was HUGE and so tasty. The atmosphere was extremely pleasant and welcoming and we were so impressed with the charming barman working, poor guy was rushed of his feet and still managed to make sure we ate, drank, played pool, jenga sampled his 'mocktails' and have everything we needed! Such service wasn't expected in a north london boozer thats for sure.
Only down side our lunchtime trip was a few unsavoury locals, but that cant be helped....afterall, it is kilburn.
All in all I highly recomend the Westbury and will certainly go again.
I went to the Westbury a few weeks ago for the first time, as I'm a huge fan of Kissy Sell Out, who played at the venue's Dance on Glass night. The place was packed, which usually irritates me as that usually entails a load of drunken idiots causing trouble for the rest of the crowd, but this wasn't the case. Instead, everyone just seemed up for a great night out after a week of work. Bar staff were pleasant, drinks were reasonably-priced and the music didn't blow my ear canals into submission (which was obviously a bonus). Definetely a place I'll be visiting again for a night out :)
Great dj’s, excellent bar food and great service is what you usually get from The Westbury. Armed with this information passed on by a good friend, I decided to celebrate my birthday there. Having lived around Maida Vale I had never before stepped in to Kilburn territory and was pleasantly surprised to discover a bar with the calibre of those in the West End! Right from the moment I picked up the phone to inquire about a potential booking right to an after party feedback enquiry, the process was smooth and faultless.
I decided to pop in to the bar to have a quick look around before I confirmed my booking and was taken with the amazing interior. The wallpaper, the comfy seating areas and the lovely lampshades gave the place a quirky, stylish and yet comfortable vibe. I did not initially know if to book a booth or the Priory Room, but on advice from their bookings manager I decided to go for the Priory Room as I was having about 60 guests. The room had its own bar and we were told that there was a night called Bad Intentions on that particular Friday night which played all the best party tunes. What’s better was that there was no hire fee for the room! We pre- ordered some of the amazing sounding canapés from the menu and kept our fingers crossed for the night.
I would be downplaying the amazing night we had if I had to say that it was good. It was close to great and perhaps one of the best parties I have had in a long time. We arrived early on the night to decorate the room a bit – the bar back was extremely helpful and the staff on the night just perfect. Our food was laid out and looked amazing, the dj was churning out some great tracks – they even gave us glow sticks to dance away with! and everyone I spoke to were having a brilliant night. Since it is open late till 3pm, the bar catered perfectly to some of my working friends who came in later in the night. Most of us stayed right up to the very end, quite drunk and professing undying love
Laidback, relaxing on a Monday night and pulsating on a Saturday. The Westbury can literally be whatever you want depending on what mood you are in.
I was here late Saturday night and this pub that I usually go to for post work drinks was heaving! The music was very dance-able and post 3 drinks all I wanted was to hit the floor!
They have reasonably priced drinks and you don't feel cheated the day after when you check your card statements. Would totally recommend it for a great night out.
This place is a joke. I put my card behind the bar and the barman charged a glass of champagne - ordered by someone else - on it!
I then challenged him about this and spoke to the manager, and they a) did not refund the money and b) did not even have the decency to offer me another drink!
This place is a hyped-up hole, run by morons.
Brilliant!
I hired out the alcove area at the Westbury for my partners birthday...
when I arrived everything was ready, they brought out the champagne that I asked for as soon as we arrived...
our waitress was amazing! They don't charge a fee for hiring and there was a pool table right by us... loads of silly fun!
Gorgeous food, even more gorgeous DJ's... I'm coming back for sure!
beautiful bar with loads tucked away places to enjoy drink in a friendly buzzing atmosphere.
decent crowd, good music and they had some great lives singers when i went in for for my friends birthday last thursday.
looks like they have a lot going on and the barman recommended doing the quiz on a weds night.
i'd definitely recommend the place to anyone in the area, i thoroughly enjoyed the venue
Brilliant place, never thought Kilburn would ever have such a nice venue! I have only been there in the after-noon, im dying to go there in the evening. The trendy venue attracts a cosmopolitan crowd that suites the decor. The prices match any other bar/pub located in the west end though this can be off putting due to its location; i have found a new love and also a new local!?!?!
After recently returning to the NW area i thought id give the westbury a shot after hearing some good things...... If you'd have told me that i could go out in kilburn and have an awesome night a couple of years ago i would have laughed, but the Westbury is leading the way in the increasingly vibrant nightlife scene in the area and im all for it. Recently saw The Nextmen there and the whole place was rockin, and it seems this was'nt a one off as the line-up's look consistently good with top name Dj's from all over the shop comin to play, from Rob Da Bank to New Young Pony Club.
Excellent Bar/ Club. Music is really good. Urban, funky, a bit of drum and bass and just different to the usual mainstream. Clientelle are good looking and standard- no snobs or conversely chavs. Place itself looks great, pool table, places to sit and dance. Definately going again!
The Westbury is fantastic! spent a few nights there recently and seen the likes of DJ Yoda and Norman dj already this month. but last night was brilliant, went down for a sunday roast and spent most the day there! food was great and djs who played in the evening were brilliant. Great music, Great place
Well, it struck midnight, but that's about all we could say. Oh, and the DJ looked like he was having fun... Went home at 12.30 and the music's been great ever since. Shame about the Westbury... A very sad event because we like our local otherwise....
The Westbury is a great place for just a few drinks or a big night out. I'm a Kilburn local and love that I can pop down the road and get the quality of service and the atmosphere of a proper central london venue. During the week it's chilled and I love playing pool there...and on the weekends the music is a great mixture so theres something for everyone, same goes for the crowd. Great place, great people, great service. Quality and I'd recommend it highly!
Was there the last two Saturdays with a couple of the guys. Great place to have a drink, food was great and didn`t have to wait too long either... which is always a surprise in London. The DJs are awesome in this place and it has a cracking atmosphere. Would recommend the Westbury to anyone ...
Excellent food, excellent location, excellent service...overall what more can I say other than excellent!
We will definatly be going back in the near future. I would highly recommend a visit.
I have been here on a couple of occasions now and it's been fab each time!
The food is fantastic. Service was great. Perfect place for a date or a dance.
10/10 - I'll be going back!!!
I think my friends and I have found a new favourite hangout! Great all weekend whether you just want a bite to eat or a good boogie to some of the hottest DJ's in London. The place looks great, feels great and just IS great! Will recommend to everyone with all different tastes.
Fab :-)
Had a super Sunday lunch. Beautifully cooked and presented. Staff courteous, friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit.
I rate the Westbury highly. There is a great feel to it, they dont pack you in too tight, you can actually hear each other. And the food is really good too. About time there was a decent pub in Kilburn.
If you like your music (or actually, even if you don't) then give The Westbury a go as they have some really good DJs there at the moment. Last week they brought the house down with some funky house and what was going to be a quick drink turned into a very messy and naughty one! The Westbury is a really good addition for us lot in Kilburn.
