What has happened to the White House ? - This used to be a place quite fun with friendly good looking people -now it is the biggest (and worst) meat market for spray-on orange essex tans with attitude (and that's the men). The music is boring house music despite their being two floors.... The staff ,don't even get me started ,so rude .....Sort it out!

This was the worst place I've visited in a long time. I never write reviews but I thought if I can save just one poor sod the displeasure of lifetime then it's worth my time. My friend had her birthday party there last Saturday. In reality we should have turned back the moment I saw the security. The three massively burly men were more than adept at manhandling every patron as they entered. Just the way I like to start my night!! 30 seconds after we entered the music stopped dead. The mix of tarted up wannabe wags were even scarier without the veneer of tunes to add atmosphere. When the music came on things definitely improved but the DJ definitely did not. I could only figure that the revenue from the obscene £10 entry and £5+ piss weak drinks was not being spent on the completely talentless DJ but rather on the impressive team of SAS killer bouncers. As a birthday venue it looked like the place to go. So much so I was waiting for McHappy Meals to be seved by a clown called Ronald. If you have any idea what so ever, then avoid this place like the plague.

I was there that night and im very sure if this happened regularly this venue wouldn't have been in business for the last 10years!
If the power cuts out anywhere, its not intentional! s*it does happen sometimes. In honesty i praise the way they dealt with the situation. Me and my friends were given an explaination as well as a free round of drinks. The power went back on, then failed again after about 10minutes and we had to leave the venue as explained by the manager due to health and safety (understandable!) but every person that left the venue got a free entry and drink token for the next visit. Seeing as all of this happened at around 2am, i thought it was a bit of a result!
I love the white house, totally different class to the rest of south london. If the guy above hasnt been before then it was unfortunate, but its never like this, i've had countless great nights there and will have alot more.

I randomly went there a couple of months back and thought it was quite good. Liked the fact that there was a cool, hidden roof terrace you could smoke on, although it closed later. The club had sunken tables and an awesome sound system. A night called Love Story or something were giving out things like glow sticks and shades, which was a nice momento for the night, to be honest it was all a little crazy but cool. Would go again for this night alone

Laughable. Rude staff, overpriced warm beer in dirty glasses that looked like they not been washed since cleared from a table. Filthy toilets full of idiots sniggering in the cubicles. 80% blokes to a few nervous looking Essex type girls. I could go on and on but after paying a tenner to get in this dive I think I should move on with my life and try and forget one of the worst nights of my life. Avoid like the clap.

Its a nice stylish venue. The staff inside are really friendly, the drinks are reasonably priced, and it has a really good atmosphere. I was there for a private function however to get upstairs we walked through the main bar on the ground floor which had a great vibe, and plush leather seating everywhere. The bouncers however are a disgrace, over physical and so rude. This place is definitely worth visiting however, just turn up on your best behaviour with a smile on your face!

What an amazing night. I had been to the venue quite a few times before and have always enjoyed myself but last Friday was something a little bit special. A.Skillz & the Soul Avengers on the same night and they were nothing short of fantastic. The rest of the DJs were wicked as well. More nights like this please - amazing!

Went down on a Thursday evening with a small group of friends; friendly staff and competent service all round. I had the Crispy Duck whilst my girlfriend had the Prawn & Chive Dumplings and considering it came in at under £20 including a few cocktails it really was worth the money. Will definitely be going back for more.

I am a huge vino fanatic and one thing that really impressed me about The White House was the small but well selected wine list, they were offering a nice selection of very good wines, all at a reasonable price. Their house white was in fact rather good!
