The Time Travel All Nighter is another chance to stay up late with some great classic flicks as the BFI invites you to spend time with Marty McFly, the Terminator and Sean Connery. As part of their 75th birthday weekender, the Time Travel all nighter brings you four great time travelling films that will keep you up until dawn.

Kicking off the proceedings is the very best of the Back to the Future series starring Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd. Back to the Future II takes the time travel obsessed pair back and forward to the 50s, the 80s and onwards to the date 2015 where hoverboards are the norm and America has just elected its first black president.

Next up on the Time Travel All Nighter schedule is the classic kiltwearing, massive sword weilding Highlander. Immortals Sean Connery and Christopher Lambert flit between sixteenth century Scotland and contemporary New York in an attempt to engage in battle with their sworn enemy from a rival clan.

Following on from there, you will be treated to a naked Arnie in Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Set in 2029, the machines are running the world and having sent a cyborg back in time to kill the resistance hero teenager John Connor, they are then faced with the prospect of the resistance sending another cyborg back to undo their work. Big special effects and of course the inimitable Arnold Schwartzenegger make for a great sci fi time travel blockbuster.

The last film to transport you through time and space in the Time Travel All Nighter is the surreal Terry Gilliam film, 12 Monkeys. Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt don their best mad faces for this film as Willis plays the part of Pitt's psychiatrist, trying to track down the environmental action group that may have been involved in spreading a lethal virus.

Throughout the Time Travel All Nighter film fans can relax in the comfy BFI IMAX seats, take advantage of the free tea and coffee and the all the usual cinema treats on sale. Between each film screening there is a 30 minute break.
