Touched Tickets

Touched tickets are now available to see Sadie Frost star in a new play that brings one lady’s obsession with the Queen of Pop herself, Madonna, to the Trafalgar Studio 2 stage. Touched tickets will enable London theatre fans to see Ms Frost make her West End stage debut in what promises to be an amusing insight into an obsessive mind.

A touching tale of obsession
Touched tickets will see Sadie Frost play the role of Lesley, a Mancunian approaching middle age who still harbours dreams of being best friends with Madonna. Lesley narrates the story of her own life, starting with the epochal moment where, as an unattractive teenager, she heard Like A Virgin for the very first time. Touched tickets will enable audiences to see a show that went down incredibly well at the Edinburgh Festival, and one that looks set to be a highlight of 2009.

One woman show
The Trafalgar Studios production of Touched is a one woman show, and thanks to the theatre’s one hundred seat capacity, it promises to be an intimate night. The moving, yet amusing tale is set to a backdrop of pop classics from the ‘80s and ‘90s, as Lesley’s conviction that hers and Madonna’s lives are somehow connected is told through two decades of obsession, love and delusion.

Great talent
Touched is written by Zoe Lewis, author of theatre productions such as Flanders Mare, Glastonbury, Guns and Noses and Sharp Relief. Touched will be directed by Douglas Rintoul, with design from Colin Richmond, but perhaps the play’s biggest draw is of Sadie Frost. With a career that has seen her feature in over twenty films, including The Krays and Francis Ford Coppola’s Dracula, she has considerable experience in front of the camera, but Touched sees her make her West End debut, so pick up tickets and see how she gets on.
