Tracey Emin Exhibition London

With works including a wealth of famous pieces, the 2011 Tracey Emin exhibition London event at Hayward Gallery is set to draw in crowds of art lovers and fans of the high profile artist. Entitled Love is What You Want, the exhibition at Southbank Centre is Emin's first London show dedicated to her entire career.

London has been showcasing the work of one of the foremost stars of the contemporary British art scene in a variety of different exhibitions recently, including the Tracey Emin exhibition at the White Cube Gallery from 2009, the Foundling Museum collaborative show earlier in 2010 and the Royal Academy prints show. Now you can see her back at the Hayward Gallery with a huge retrospective body of work. Famed for art that reveals the often intimate details of her personal life, fans of Tracey Emin can expect more of Emin's candour and honest in this collection of new and old work.

Love is What You Want
Entitled Love is What You Want, the new Tracey Emin exhibition touches on her commonly used subjects of love, sex, lust, and loneliness, with several pieces demonstrating how in her perception, love and passion are often closely associated with death and loss. The show also features some brand new works from the artist which will no doubt be of great interest to the public throughout the duration of the show.

Painting, photography and printmaking
As well as working with textiles, light works and sculpture, photography and painting, Tracey Emin has created a huge amount of prints over the years with many pieces in the show that date back from the start of her career. Giving fans the chance to appreciate the arc Emin's career has taken over the last decade, the exhibition also presents a selection of outdoor sculptures, which is a brand new element to any Tracey Emin exhibition seen so far.

Exhibition highlightsd
Several renowned piece are on show at the Hayward Gallery for the Tracey Emin exhibition including two appliqued blankets Hotel International and Psyco Slut, alongside over 12 neon works, videos and the 2003 installation Menphis. Some rarely seen sculptural pieces will also no doubt attract plenty of attention, with Emin's Army, Tacimin - Can you hear me? and Salem, all on show.

The Tracey Emin exhibition London event runs from Wednesday 18th May - Monday 29th August 2011 at the Hayward Gallery. Tickets are £12.00, £9.00-£11.00 for concessions, £7.50 for 12-18 year olds and children under 12 are free.
