Think bedtime stories are just for kids? Think again. Twisted Love at Criterion Theatre gives you the chance to hear a series of unconventional love stories read aloud at a late night literary event that's for grown-ups only.

Anti-Valentine's
Shunning the saccharine sentiments that you might expect around Valentine's Day to explore the darker side of love and passion, Twisted Love at Criterion Theatre features readings from some of the country's leading actors and actresses. The event is part of the late night Stories Before Bedtime series, which champions the joys of being read aloud to beyond your infancy.

Unlikely love stories
Tom Hiddleston of War Horse and Thor fame is amongst the celebrities taking part in Twisted Love at Criterion Theatre, with his reading of The Kingdom of Earth, the erotic short story by Tennessee Williams. The event also features actress Niamh Cusack reading Angela Carter's The Courtship of Mr Lyon.

Hendrick's Gin
The final reading taking place during Twisted Love at Criterion Theatre is a joint effort from Russell Tovey and Sarah Solemani, of the acclaimed BBC Three comedy Him and Her, who will be reading the new translation of Ovid's advice to couples, The Art of Love. All ticket holders will be given a Hendrick's Gin and tonic on arrival on arrival at the Criterion Theatre, before settling down to the readings.

Twisted Love at Criterion Theatre takes place from 10.30pm, Friday 10th February. Tickets cost £12.50. For more information and to book your tickets for this event, click on the Buy Tickets button.
