Unseen Dali at Modern Masters Gallery makes for a fantastic exhibition of rarely seen works by the famous Surrealist artist this winter. Bringing together over 40 different pieces, some of which have never been seen in the UK before, the Dali exhibition
features drawings, paintings and sculpture from various private collections around the world.
Unseen Dali at Modern Masters Gallery
Curated by Dali's personal secretary and friend, and an avid collector and expert, the Unseen Dali show is an unparalleled exhibition of work from the 1960s. Including three dimensional sculpture, alongside drawings, paintings and watercolours, this exhibition
gives fans of his work the chance to see a selection of pieces that are rarely on show to the public.
Experts on Dali
Enrique Sabater y Bonany is the curator of the paintings and drawings included in Unseen Dali at Modern Masters Gallery, and was the artists personal secretary and confidante for over 12 years. Showcasing the sculptural works that accompany the more traditional works on paper and canvas, the President of the Stratton Foundation for Cultural Arts, Beniamino Levi, is responsible for the inclusion of several key sculptures from the 1960s.
Exhibition highlights
Giving fans of his work unprecedented access to some of the lesser known gems from his portfolio, the Dali exhibition brings to life several undiscovered aspects of his work. Having been curated by two such experts on Salvador Dali, it is no surprise to see that the Unseen Dali at Modern Masters Gallery includes pieces such as a recreation of the iconic Lobster Telephone and the Shoe: Surrealist Object with a Symbolic
Function.
Unseen Dali at Modern Masters Gallery takes place from 10.30am - 6.30pm Monday - Friday, 12pm - 5pm Saturdays, from Friday 15th October 2010 - Monday
