Unsigned Mind at Frys

Catch all the live music on offer at the Unsigned Mind at Frys Bar gig, which takes place for real after being imagined in cyberspace.

Charity gig
Taking place at the popular Islington venue The Old Queens Head, Unsigned Mind at Frys was first conceived as a virtual gig at a virtual bar on Twitter presided over by Stephen Fry. A number of the musicians who performed at the virtual gig by uploading links to their music came up with the idea of holding a real life music gig to raise money and awareness for the mental health charity MIND, so live music fans now have the chance to see the musicans play in the flesh.

The lineup
Musicians playing at the Unsigned Mind at Frys charity gig include folk and electropop group Ashxyz, acoustic singer Karen Cleary, and folk rock outfit Sweet Sweet Lies. Raymon of The Netherlands will be your host for the night and presiding over more unsigned and up and coming acts.

Up and coming acts
If you're looking for a new favourite band to support and like the idea of discovering some up and coming bands before they hit the limelight, then the Unsigned Mind at Frys charity gig could be one of the best places to start. Profits made from the night will be donated to MIND, which campaigns for a fairer and more supportive society for those affected by mental distress.

The Unsigned Mind at Frys live music gig takes place at The Old Queens Head on Thursday 11th March 2010. Tickets cost £10.00.
