Picnic at Hanging Rock
The final romantic screening on 14th February is Picnic at Hanging Rock, Peter Weir's haunting 1975 film which tells the tale of three schoolgirls and their teacher who disappeared while on an excursion to Victoria's Hanging Rock on Valentine's Day, 1900. The film explores the romantic friendship between the women involved, and also explores the effects of their disappearance on the community they leave behind.
