The Vauxhall Motors Bowling Club brings you the best of the good old fashioned British summertime, as the flat capped gentlemen and white skirted ladies take over Brick Lane for one day of live music, dancing, comedy and of course, bowling.
Vauxhall Motors Bowling Club
Transforming an entire car park's worth of space in Brick Lane into a professional standard bowling green, the day is set to resound with the click of wood on wood, the funkiest of music and live entertainment from some of the best in the business.
Special guests
Heading up the bowling for the day are two very special hosts, perfectly selected to ensure your day at the green goes swimmingly. Comedian Matt Horne will be on the decks at the Vauxhall Motors Bowling Club, and joining him for a spot of summer chilaxing is the t4 presenter Rick Edwards. Kicking back, eating ice creams and generally pottering on the lawn, these two will be on hand throughout the day to enjoy the proceedings along with all the club members.
Bowling for all
Following on the success of the Vauxhall Skate and Ice Skate events of previous years, the Vauxhall Motors Bowling Club brings you the essence of summer in one handy location. With a pristine bowling lawn laid out just for one day, you can sit back and relax or get into some seriously enjoyable bowiling games. Whether you are an old hand or a bowling green virgin, you can take guidance from the club pros, who will show you just how to perfect your aim, throw and give you some insider tips.
Live music
If the excitement of all that isn't quite enough for you, then you can add dancing to some of the hottest bands around to your to do list. There will be plenty of live entertainment taking place throughout the day at the Vauxhall Motors Bowling Club, with a couple of celebrity DJ sets thrown into the mix too. DJ Toddla T will be taking to the decks for a sizzling set or two, and ska, electro and grime funksters Man Like Me are also performing live.
