A clever take on the tried and tested method of clothes swapping that has been taking place in girls bedrooms ever since they were old enough to trade Barbie clothes, the Visa Swap Shop brings to London the best way of getting designer and chic high street clothes and accessories.

Combining the best of recycling with the best of shopping, the Visa Swap Shop allows you to trade in that worn once Westwood corset or the Galliano shoes in a size too small, for some lovely designer clothes that have been donated by other fashion lovers who made the mistake of buying something that didn't fit or clashed with their haircolour.

Set up by Visa and TRAID, the Visa Swap Shop invites you and all the other fashionistas in London to pop in to their pop up shop from the beginning of June to donate designer and quality high street items in exchange for the chance to shop at the store for more lovely clothes and accessories. When you donate clothes to the swap shop, points are added to a special Visa card that will allow you to purchase its at the swapping weekend. The more exclusive the item, the more points will be awarded.

And it's not just your average shoppers that have been contributing to the Visa Swap Shop haul of designer goods. Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, Dita von Teese, Kelly Rowland, Alexa Chung and Kelly Osbourne are amongst the celebrities donating their stylish garb to the shop this year, and no doubt there will be plenty more designer pieces contributed for the 2008 event, making the chances of you picking up a real fashion find even higher.

Potential shoppers can hand in their unwanted Prada sunglasses and Chanel handbags until the end of 18th July at the Flower Cellars, and the Visa Swap Shop at No 1 The Piazza will open for business on the 19th and 20th July. Hundreds of shoppers and fashion lovers are set to hit the special recycling event to see what fashionable goodies they can get their hands on. With stylists and advisors on hand to help on the day, you will be guided against making the same mistakes again, ensuring that you go home with ultra cool and stylish items that actually fit and flatter you. Plus, you don't have to feel guilty about not giving away your stuff to the local charit shops. Anything that is left over at the end will be donated to TRAID.
