Bringing some fresh and exciting sounds to your ears, the Vortex music at the East London festival features performances from three up and coming singer songwriters from the east London boroughs.

Bored of the same old music in the same old venues? The Vortex music at the East London festival should shake things up a bit. With contribitions from Theo Bard, Fiona Bevan and Jonathan Geyevu, you can expect a refreshing mix of fusion music, drawing on influences as diverse as reggae, folk, hip hop and jazz.

Sunday 8th March:
Cafe Oto, Ashwin Road, 11am
Skylight Cafe at the Crisis Centre, Commercial Street, 4pm
Monday 9th March: Arcola Theatre Eco Cafe, Arcola Street, 6pm
Tuesday 10th March: Marie Lloyd Bar, Hackney Empire, Mare Street, 8pm

The performances as part of the Vortex music at the East London festival run from Thursday 5th March - Tuesday 10th March 2009. All of the performances are free.
