You can expect an eclectic range of tunes to be pumped out of the rather impressive sound system at V:Room at Strongroom. A mix of ‘60s and ‘70s soul funk, garage and freakbeats comes courtesy of DJs like Tijuana Bros, Night of the Long Swords, Streak of Black Lightning and Hoochinoo.

A Shoreditch Stronghold
Strongroom started life as a small studio in a battered warehouse in the early 1980s, building a name for itself over the years as a recording complex with four recording studios, programming rooms and mix rooms. They then evolved to include a popular bar and restaurant, which is where you’ll find V:Room at Strongroom. Located in the heart of Shoreditch, along Curtain Road, its musical roots have spread and Strongroom has become well respected for not falling foul of the pretension that sometimes infects this area of East London.

Fashionable Shoreditch Crowd
V:Room at Strongroom attracts a trendy East London crowd of money-savvy clubbers looking for club nights that won’t drain the wallet. Less pretentious than many bars in the area, it’s a come as you are vibe, but there will be a fair few trendsetters if you fancy competing.
