Waiting For Godot tickets are available to see the return of the hugely acclaimed Theatre Royal Haymarket production of Samuel Beckett’s masterpiece, starring two of the biggest names in theatre, film and television, Sir Ian McKellen and Matthew Kelly. Waiting For Godot tickets will enable London audiences to catch the return of what was one of the most eagerly anticipated version of Beckett’s classic as it returned to London fifty years after its first production.

Highly interpretive
Those lucky enough to get their hands on Waiting for Godot tickets will be able to enjoy one of the most significant plays of the twentieth century, and one that creates heated debate thanks to its ability to be interpreted in a myriad different ways. With Waiting For Godot tickets you will be able to enjoy the dialogue (and lack of) between Vladimir and Estragon as they sit waiting patiently for the mysterious, and elusive, Godot.

An important play
Beckett’s Waiting For Godot has been a hugely influential play, with interpretations ranging from the religious, through to the psychoanalytical and the biographical. It still retains considerable significance in theatre today and the tale of the two tramps is a regular on both the stage and in curriculum throughout the world, so if you’ve seen Waiting for Godot before, or studied it, take this opportunity to see what promises to be a stunning production.

Sir Ian McKellen
Starring in this version of Waiting For Godot will be two giants of the acting world, bringing a wealth of experience and talent to the Theatre Royal stage. Sir Ian McKellen is perhaps best known for starring in the Lord of The Rings films as Gandalf, but asides from his role in Godot, he boasts an incredibly impressive stage career, including award winning roles in Othello, Richard III, Amadeus and Coriolanus.

Matthew Kelly
Also taking to the Theatre Royal Haymarket stage is Matthew Kelly, now firmly established as one of the UK's finest theatre actors. Perhaps best known for presenting Stars In Their Eyes, Matthew Kelly's career on the stage is highly distinguished, with this role as Pozzo in Waiting for Godot just one of a number of revered roles. Kelly is widely recognised as one of our great stage actors, starring in productions of Comedians, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Troilus and Cressida, Forgotten Voices and his Olivier Award-winning role as Lennie in Of Mice and Men.

More talent
This production of Waiting For Godot will also feature some impressive talent behind the scenes, with top theatre director Sean Mathiason on directorial duties. After its huge success at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in 2009, the cast continues to be one of the best assembled in the capital, with McKellen and Kelly being joined by multi-award-winning actor Roger Rees who will play Vladimir, and Roland Pickup returning to play Lucky.

Waiting For Godot starring Sir Ian McKellen and Matthew Kelly runs at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from Thursday 21st January - Saturday 3rd April 2010. To purchase Waiting For Godot tickets please click the Buy Tickets button.
