Walking with Tears at Royal Academy is the latest exhibition to come from the world renowned artist Tracey Emin. Having first exhibited at the Royal Academy galleries back in 1997 with the Sensation exhibition, Emin is now showcasing her printmaking works in a summer show.

Walking with Tears at Royal Academy
Curated from works done by Tracey Emin over the last ten years, the exhibition is entitled Walking with Tears, and concentrates on just the one aspect of her art. The very first exhibition to concentrate solely on monoprints, this summer exhibition is certain to be extremely popular with fans of her smaller scale work.

Printed works
Tracey Emin may have made her name with her large scale textile and installation pieces, but she has also consistently produced a great catalogue of art in various other media, including monoprints. Instantly recognisable from her scratchy but deft lines, the prints on show in the Walking with Tears at Royal Academy cover the full emotion range of her artistic output, and often included extremely personal and intimate details about herself and her life.

Summer exhibition
Tracey Emin's artwork has featured in several galleries in London in recent years, including the White Cube at Mason's Yard and unusually, the Foundling Museum. She also curated a collection of artwork at the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition back in 2008, which runs concurrently with Walking with Tears at Royal Academy this summer.

The exhibition Walking with Tears at Royal Academy takes place from Tuesday 22nd June - Wednesday 22nd September 2010 at the Royal Academy. The Royal Academy Friend's Room Gallery opening times are 4pm - 6pm. Admission is free.
