An unmissable event for fans of the Watchmen, the Dr Manhattan on the Thames event will see a massive projection of the glowing blue superhuman emerge from the Thames and rise to over 70 feet above the heads of awed spectators. Taking place at 8pm on Wednesday 4th March 2009 on the section of the Thames between the London Eye and the Shell Building, the Dr Manhattan illusion appears ahead of the premiere of the eagerly anticipated Watchmen film on Friday 6th March.

Watchmen Dr Manhattan on Thames
Emerging out of the Thames and rising to a height of over 70 feet in the skies of London, the Watchmen Dr Manhattan on the Thames one off event is made possible by the installation of the world's biggest water screen projector on the banks of the Thames by the London Eye. Dr Manhattan is the translucent, blue skinned, superpowered and complex character in the new Watchmen superhero film, adapted from the critally acclaimed graphic novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. The screening on the Thames will be giving fans a preview of what to expect from the film, as it will include exclusive footage from the movie.

Who watches the Watchmen?
The Dr Manhattan Thames illusion is the first of many special events and screenings happening across London to celebrate the new, hotly anticipated Watchmen film. The screening will last for approximately six minutes, but will be repeated a number of times between 8pm and 8.30pm so fans have the chance to soak up the spectacle.
