I recently visited the Waterhouse and although it wasn’t an unpleasant experience, there was room for improvement. The waitress, although very friendly, seemed unable to cope on her own and was therefore not as attentive as waiting staff should be. Starters and desserts were very nice, but the main course of seafood linguine could be improved upon. They had run out of a few choices from an already limited menu. The concept behind the restaurant drew us there, but they need to up the stakes to keep people returning.

The waterhouse has just re-opened with a new chef and new (much cheaper) menu.

We went last night and it was excellent!I've eaten here a couple of times, and it's a bit of a hidden treasure - tucked away just north of Shoreditch.

Our first visit a few months back was great, if a little expensive, but the new menu is about half the price of the old one and the food was still fabulous.

The manager was really helpful, explaining the concept of the restaurant and going through the wines (organic, fair trade etc), and the staff were all obviously really excited about the place being open again.

We had three courses and wine for about £25, and for that price I couldn't rate this place highly enough!

A ridiculous restaurant! They have a lot to say, probably because the restaurant is always empty giving them time to think about how good they are! The problem is when they get customers it takes ages for them to serve any food. And the vibe is terrible. Water house is not environmental friendly for being such an waste of Time/Space!

I can't wait to visit this fascinating venue with ecological issues at the forefront.
