We Are England Photo Exhibition

The We Are England photo exhibition takes place as part of the celebrations for St Georges Day in London. Coinciding with the national Patron Saints Day, this is a unique photo exhibition that has been put together through the efforts of the general public.

Celebrating all things English, the We Are England photo exhibition takes place in honour of the Commonwealth Games England team which will be competing in the Games later on this year in Delhi. As the men and women get ready for their sporting events in October 2010, this is your chance to capture the spirit of England in a photo to help get behind your team.

England, your England
Whether you feel inspired by the sporting achievements of England's various teams or get all misty eyed when you think about the rural landscape and a pint of good old English bitter, the We Are England photo exhibition has asked the English nation to capture on camera exactly what they think the spirit of the country is. From the traditional to the eclectic, the classic to the quirky, Englishness encompasses all walks of life, and here is your opportunity to take a photo of it and see your handiwork up on the walls of a London art gallery.

St Georges Day
Coinciding with the London celebrations of St Georges Day which always includes all kinds of mayhem with Morris Dancers and traditional events, the We Are England photo exhibition is the perfect way to mark the occassion. Whether you are one of the lucky ones whose picture is chosen to help celebrate the national day, or are simply a patriotic art lover, the exhibition is free to all to enter.

The We Are England photo exhibition takes place from Wednesday 21st April - Sunday 25th April 2010. Entrance is free.
