We Are Family at BFI Southbank

Rainbow families are invited to the We Are Family at BFI Southbank special event. Featuring family friendly LGBT film screenings, the event is part of the BFI London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival.

Rainbow families
Suitable for kids, their friends and families, We Are Family at BFI Southbank features a series of films that all have LGBT connections. There are extracts from contemporary television programmes and films and classic cartoons too to keep everyone happy.

Puppet animations
One of the highlights of the We Are Family at BFI Southbank event is bound to be the performance by Matthew Robins and his band, who will be entertaining the crowds with their live cut-out puppet animations. The event at BFI Southbank is a great chance for families with a lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender connection to meet in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Gay disco
Following the film screenings, ticketholders with children can also take part in the 25th Birthday Disco post screening party. Kids can enjoy all the balloons, dancing and games at the We Are Family at BFI Southbank party as a grand finale to the day's activities.
