Wellington Wednesdays at Penny Black

Enjoy a fresh take on a traditional British dish with Wellington Wednesdays at Penny Black. Each Wednesday, the popular Chelsea restaurant is offering diners the choice of three different dishes inspired by the great Beef Wellington.

Traditional fare
Originally based on the classic French recipe boeuf en croute, the rich and indulgent Beef Wellington has been enduringly popular with the British since the nineteenth century. Named after the Duke of Wellington in 1851, the dish is now being reinvented for the Wellington Wednesdays at Penny Black special menu.

Modern twists
As well as the classic Beef Wellington, diners can choose from two other options each week which offer different interpretations on the traditional dish. Items on the Wellington Wednesdays at Penny Black menu may include lobster, spiced pumpkin and parsnip, roasted vegetable and other delicious options.

Wine list
To accompany your hearty meal, a selection of wines are available to choose from during Wellington Wednesdays at Penny Black Restaurant. Highlights from the 150 strong wine list include the English Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs.

Wellington Wednesdays at Penny Black starts on 5th October 2011, and is ongoing. The Beef Wellington costs £25.00, while the roasted vegetable option costs £17.00.
