Some of the best shopping and entertainment combine at the West End Christmas family day to celebrate Christmas 2008. Special discounts, games and street entertainment will be put on to draw in the crowds and promote seasonal chher.

A West End Christmas
The family day will be held in Bond Street, Oxford Street and Regent Street. Part of a highly publicised shopping weekend, the family day will have entertainment and special offers across 600 stores.

Fun for the little ones
Many shops will be holding special events to entertain kids and get them excited about Christmas. Waterstones in Oxford Street West will have a colouring competition for children and a Mr Men themed story time for the West End Christmas family day. GAP will offer kids face painting, and Debenhams will have stilt walkers and balloon modellers.

Live Music
One highlight will be a live performance by the Capital Children's Choir at 2pm and 2.40pm at The Plaza, Oxford Street. Covering contemporary songs by Blondie, Coldplay and The Beatles as well as traditional Christmas favourites, the choir will add to the festive atmosphere and make the West End family day a special shopping event.

Many shops will celebrate the West End Christmas family day by offering special discounts to customers. the West End is home to many flagship stores so you are likely to be spoilt for choice for all your Christmas shopping.
