An installation covering five metres of wallspace at The Exposure Gallery is the latest creation from artist and games designer Rudy de Belgeonne, detailing 1,000 different ways of defining Man. From Fancy Dan to Son of a Gun, the Who's the Man exhibition is a linguistic tapestry of colourful tablets, each depicting a different word or phrase.

Who's the Man exhibition
On show throughout January, the vast installation piece recreates many of the names that the artist has ever been called along with some that delve into the world of defining masculinity as a whole. Covering the whole wall with different labels that depict the varying status of man in contemporary society, these vivid inscriptions will no doubt inspire humour and affection as well as contempt and even distaste.

Lady Killer to Gay Boy
Whether you are indeed a Lady Killer or not, Who's the Man at The Future Gallery will certainly have the perfect label for you or your male friends. Running the gamut from Laughing Boy, Mister Nice Guy and Steady Eddie to Pimp, Ponce and Arse Bandit, the exhibition covers almost every conceivable phrase for Man in the English language.

Get a piece of the action
If you fancy yourself as a Sailor, a Pervert or a Legend, then why not get in on the act? As part of Who's the Man at The Exposure Gallery, visitors can get their hands on a series of prints of each of the various themed sets of words, including Good Guys, Bad Buys, Role Models and Gay Guys, or even purchase a limited edition piece of the installation itself. And if you can't see yourself in the mix, you could always ask Rudy to create one just for you as a special one off commission.
