Wimbledon Afternoon Tea at The Howard

Celebrate the return of tennis season by sampling the delights of the distinctive Wimbledon Afternoon Tea at The Howard. Held at the Swissotel The Howard's Mauve Lounge, the unusual twist on the classic afternoon tea features a range of tennis themed treats.

Time for tennis tea
With the world's best players descending on Centre Court for another year of volleys, super fast serves and nail biting match points, the whole of London is going tennis mad for the 2010 Wimbledon Tennis Championships. Even if you don't manage to get tickets to see the matches live, you can still indulge your love of tennis by trying the Wimbledon Afternoon Tea at The Howard at Temple Place.

Edible lawn
Treating you to a colourful miniature representation of the tennis championships, the Wimbledon Afternoon Tea at The Howard features shortbread biscuits shaped like tennis rackets, tennis balls and strawberries, and even an edible green lawn court. Other treats on the menu include chocolate mint cups, pink Champagne jelly, strawberry cream tarts and macaroons, as well as traditional finger sandwiches and home baked scones.

Quench your thirst
As well as all the edible treats available as part of the Wimbledon Afternoon Tea at The Howard, you can also quench your thirst which sipping on Twinings tea. A jug of Pimms can also be added as an additional extra.

The Wimbledon Afternoon Tea at The Howard is available at the Mauve Lounge from 11.30am - 7pm, Tuesday 1st June - Sunday 4th July 2010. The tennis tea is priced £32.00 per person, with the jug of Pimms costing £10.00. For more information and to make a reservation, call 0207 836 3555.
