Wireless 2009
Promising thousands of fans a huge party as part of the ongoing series of summer music events, the Wireless 2009 event in Hyde Park looks set to be one of the biggest and most popular of the London music festivals. Expect a big, loud atmosphere as the crowds sing and dance along to their favourite bands and live acts and make the most of the British summer, no matter what the weather. With Kanye West headlining the event on Sunday 5th July, there's now even more of a reason to grab your tickets and head to Jyde Park this summer.
Basement Jaxx
Returning to the stage for Wireless 2009 with a mix of crowd pleasing tunes and beats is Basement Jaxx, who played at the very first Wireless festival in 2005. Renowned for their stunning stage visuals, guest singers and tunes that get under the skin and demand to be danced to, Basement Jaxx will be headlining the Wireless festival and aiming to deliver a memorable live show for fans.
Mike Skinner and The Streets
Headlining the second stage at Wireless will be Mike Skinner and The Streets, another act well known for their superb live shows. With four albums under their belts including A Grand Don't Come For Free and The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living, the band will be able to draw on an impressive backlog of hit songs to entertain the masses in Hyde Park.
Dizzee Rascal
Appearing on the main stage for the first time, Dizzee Rascal will be bringing some of his authentic hip hop beats to Hyde Park. And the Wireless festival doesn't just stop at music - food stalls, beer gardens, fairground rides and plenty of games will be on hand to keep you happy throughout the event.
The Wireless 2009 festival runs from 12pm - 10.30pm, Saturday 4th July - Sunday 5th July 2009. Early bird tickets are available for £40.00.
