Word Up at Museum of London Docklands

Celebrate the nature, culture and history of east London at the late night Word Up at Museum of London Docklands event. Featuring author and celebrated wordsmith Iain Sinclair, the Word Up event gives you the chance to find out more about Hackney as well as soak up a night of live entertainment and cabaret.

Promoting his new book Hackney: That Rose Red Empire, author Iain Sinclair will be the high point for many at the Word Up at Museum of London Docklands event. Also giving a talk on his newly updated and republished book A Journey Through Ruins will be Patrick Wright, so bibliophiles with a love of the history of London will get a double insight into the creative and research processes that go into writing a book.

Cabaret performances
Also jazzing things up on the night with a range of live performances will be members of the Tring Park School for the Performing Arts. This year's summer graduates will be singing and acting their way through a variety of works from contemporary and classic musical theatre to entertain and amuse you.
