World Gymnastics Championships tickets are now available as the artistic championships hit London for the first time in over a decade. Great Britain is still immersed in Olympics fever thanks to our fantastic performances in Beijing, and World Gymnastics Championships tickets will give Londoners the chance to carry on cheering on some of our stars.

Lasting for six days in October 2009, the championships will give a good indicator of how we’ll fare when the Olympics come to London in 2012. Artistic gymnastics is a sporting discipline that involves events such as the vault, the uneven bars, the still rings, floor exercises, the high bar and the balance beam. It also includes the pommel horse which is where our very own Louis Smith won an Olympic bronze in Beijing, so you’ll be able to see if he can match his efforts in the world championships.

The whole affair will be taking place at the huge O2 Arena, now firmly established as one of the premier venues in the world. The World Gymnastics Championships will also be a nice precursor to the 2012 Olympics, offering everyone a little glimpse of what it will be like when London plays host.
