Art Fairs in London

The Zoo Art Fair London event is a unique art exhibition that supports emerging art on an international platform, featuring galleries, project spaces, artist collectives, curatorial groups and various publications. First staged in 2004, Zoo 2009 has moved from the Royal Academy of Arts to Shoreditch High Street for its fifth incarnation, showcasing exclusive and contemporary art.

Zoo Art Fair galleries
In 2009, the Zoo Art Fair London event is showcasing work in four special exhibitions guest curated by FormContent, LUX, Studio Voltaire and Rob Tufnell. Set across three buildings within a disused Victorian industrial warehouse complex, Zoo 2009 brings together up to fifty contemporary arts organisations and individials supported by established collectors, galleries and art businesses as well as public funders.

Atmospheric venue
Zoo 2009 is set across three building on Shoreditch High Street which are usually occupied bu glass, lead and colour traders Nicholls and Clarke. Used recently as a filming location for historical dramas such as Sherlock Holmes, the industrial site promises to be a fitting setting for the contemporary works in the the Zoo Art Fair. London art lovers can explore a new generation of international art talent in an engaging, forward thinking London art event.

Presentations
Alongside the four specially curated exhibitions at the Zoo Art Fair London event, art lovers can check out the 21 stand presentations from both commercial and non commercial organisations on show in 1960s tile showrooms that face onto Bishopsgate. From international galleries to publishers and artist collectives, there's bound to be a great variety of material on show from a diverse range of creative bodies.

Art to take home
New for Zoo 2009 is a series of booths dedicated to limited editions and multiples by artists, presented by organisations such as Camden Arts Centre, ICA, White Cube and Whitechapel Gallery.

Zoo 2009, the Zoo Art Fair London exhibition takes place from Friday 16th October – Monday 19th October 2009 on Shoreditch High Street, E1 6PG. The exhibition is open 12pm – 8pm Friday - Sunday and 12pm - 5pm Monday. Nearest tubes: Liverpool Street, Old Street, Aldgate and Aldgate East.
