10th World Book DayThursday 1st March 2007 marks the 10th World Book Day and there’s no doubt that the events have reached countless amounts of people, and with any luck it’ll be around for at least another ten years longer.
Indulge your love of readingWhether you read while you’re commuting to work or right before you go to sleep at night, indulge your love for a good book at these World Book Day London events - don’t forget your favourite bookmark.
World Book Day London eventsThis year’s events include things to do for kids and adults too. Check out the illustrated window display for the Oxford Street Waterstone’s shop created by Oliver Jeffers or have a girls night out with author Louise Rennison. Little girls and ballerina wannabes should head to the Harrods’ Waterstones, where you can meet Angelina Ballerina author Katherina Holabird and try your hand at some ballet lessons.
Books for £1.00Special World Book Day £1.00 book tokens will be given out to every primary school child at schools in London and across the UK. Kids will be able to redeem their tokens for one of the ten books created just for World Book Day by bestselling authors like Anthony Horowitz, Julia Donaldson and Jeremy Strong.
